Remainderfour Seek New Bassist
Posted: 4th January 2006

Having developed a serious case of tinnitus, Chris Wooding has unfortunately decided to leave Remainderfour.
The West London band are continuing but are obviously now on the lookout for a new bassist. If you are interested please contact the band via their MySpace page at http://myspace.com/remainderfour.
We wish both Chris and the rest of the band all the best for the future.

Remainderfour join Bombed Out

We are proud to introduce the latest addition to the Bombed Out roster: London based four-piece, Remainderfour. Their debut album, On With The Experiment is just back from press and should be hitting the shops mid-summer (and a few choice distro’s before then no doubt).
Remainderfour (formerly Census) feature current and former members of Otherwise, Mine and CoMA Kai and with that pedigree there can be no doubting the band’s stature as one to watch in 2005.
On With the Experiment is possibly our most accessible release to date (read: it ain’t that punk) and was recorded by John Hannon (Kids Near Water, Hundred Reasons, other bands Kerrang are into) at his own studio in Brighton.
Remainderfour are shamelessly “indie-rock”, though if this was 1992 the term would most likely be “post-hardcore”, peddling a sound that harks back to those mid-period Revelation bands like Sense Field, Farside and Elliott, while Gemma’s voice brings to mind the haunting fragility of Jen Wood. From the opening track, "A Few Reminders" through to acoustic closer, "Homebody", this album will take you through songs covering a myriad of tempo’s, moods and emotions. For a sample check out this mp3 of "Tether".
We at Bombed Out were sold on this band from day one, and hopefully you’ll see (and hear) why.
