Sheffield's finest will be taking a break from things for a while
Wooderson have recently announced that their appearance at BO15 in October will be their last gig... For now at least. Here's what the band themselves have said (including some very nice words about this humble label):
"Good evening world. Our next gig is the Bombed Out Records 15 year anniversary all-dayer at The Brudenell Social Club. This will also be the last Wooderson gig for the foreseeable future, so it's fitting that it's in our favourite city to play, at our favourite venue, celebrating the anniversary of one of the labels that were kind enough to invest their time, energy and money into releasing our album, and believe in our music as much as us.
It's not the end, but it's the last you'll hear of us in a good while. With that in mind, we just wanna say thanks to everyone that has supported this band so far for the last 5+ years and helped us have an absolutely incredible time. Come down on the 5th October to help us celebrate, and support one of the finest UK DIY labels.
Ta'. x"
Hopefully we'll see them back next year but in the meantime check out Sam's new band Nightflowers (also featuring members of The City Ghosts) and Ben and Loic's band, Che Ga Zebra. Both are mint!
