Despite the song title "Twelve Years in the Making", The Leif Ericsson's debut album hasn't quite taken that long.
All that becomes a mute piont though the second their self-titled release kicks in with "Fetch the Noose" - a classic track that was previewed on the band's Japanese-only tour EP from earlier in 2006.
The Leif Ericsson are steeped in UK punk-rock history - obvious comparisons may come from references to Snuff or Leatherface but you could just as easily reference Blitz, Cock Sparrer or even The Clash when discussing their influences. The Snuff comparison gains greater ground though when you acknowledge that singer/guitarist Will Farley also moonlight's in Duncan Redmond's Billy No Mates.
The UK version of the album should be pressed and ready in time for the band's appearence at the New Year / New Start all-dayer on the 17th February. A Japanese version will also be avaliable then via CR Records of Japan.
