"two cracking bands here, one you know and one you might not. plaids blow it up with a pair of intense, melodic rumblers. it's like if current were on assorted porkchops. freak to the groove. xaxaxa play melodic emo punk with strained vocals. brings to mind broccoli and leatherface and snuffy smiles bands. damn good. throw in a great job on the artwork and a loopy bit of coloured vinyl (joe cee wanted it to look like a poppy, and i think it turned out just great) and you have the full package. high fives to black lake and the bands for making this release happen despite all the pot holes we drove into along the way." - sncl
