Boss Tuneage Records

Back in the heady days of the mid nineties BROCCOLI and HOOTON 3 CAR decided to play some gigs together and discovered an abiding joint love of gigs, drinking and loud music. After many tours, albums and gigs both bands split in 1998 and various members drifted into other projects. Maybe that should have been the end of the story but...Formed out of a mutual wish to make a lot of noise again and rediscover what it was that made them spend so much time sitting in the back of Transit vans in the 1990's, Graeme (Ex BROCCOLI, SHONBEN, LONG BALL TO NO ONE) and Chris (ex HOOTON 3 CAR, OHNO EXPRESS) decided to start running some musical ideas up the flagpole to see if they would fly. Needing a safe pair of hands to take care of the bottom end it was time to call upon Stu, a quiet man with a penchant for high volume. This has all led to the debut release by BITTER PILLS. Recorded on warm trusty 24 track analogue, BITTER PILLS soars in sublime hooks and choruses and angular guitars that owe more than a nod to their previous bands but also show a mutual love of BIG STAR, POSIES and TEENAGE FANCLUB added into the mix
