Kelly 8 "No Sounds Amplify" video

Kelly 8 have been busy over the last few months filming a video for the song "No Sounds Amplify" from The Union album. Directed by Alex Giacomini it's definitely the most professional video yet from one of our lovely bands so please check it out.
No news yet on the new guitarist front but when we know something we'll post about it I'm sure. Itching to get the band back over to the UK for some gigs!

The Take reform for tribute gigs

The Take are reforming for two gigs at the start of July. Don't get excited though, this is reportedly going to be a one (two?) off as they play Le Pub along with a reunited Douglas as a memorial to John Sicolo, the TJ's owner who died earlier this year at age 66. The two dates are Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July and I believe tickets for both have now sold out (contact the venue in case there are Sunday tickets left).
TJ's in Newport was kinda like the Welsh CBGBs and the number of great bands that have played there over the years is just crazy. The late BBC DJ and presenter John Peel dubbed the venue "the legendary TJ's" on his radio shows and our own man from The Valleys, Jamie Duncan, spent a good deal of time discovering new and great music there back in the day.

Kelly 8 and guitarist part ways

Kelly 8 and guitarist Dan "Kaufax" Åkhagen are parting ways as Dan has decided to hang up his Charvel, at least for now.
After 9 years with the band, and with Dan's guitar playing being such an integral part of that Kelly 8 "sound" we're wishing the band the best in finding a replacement, something which Dan is lending a hand with. We also wish Dan all the best for the future. Take care mate.

We're pleased to announce that the next release to come from the Bombed Out stable will be the 2nd album from Bridgend, Wales' Peachfuzz. A fantastic album (that has been secretly streaming to "those in the know" for a while now), Everything Takes Forever will see the light of day in July when the band will also embark on a short UK tour. Fans of Soul Asylum, The Replacements, Big Star and Gin Blossoms, or even The Hold Steady, take note. Peachfuzz could be your new favourite band. "So damned brilliant" said Ben Deily of The Lemonheads (now Varsity Drag) fame. Listen to some Peachfuzz goodness here.
