The Take - Dolomite
This is a thoroughly swish and swanky looking CD from The Take and for those of you out there reading this that are into your jangly 'post hardcore' (still hate that phrase but you know what I mean) with indie and classic old style emo overtones then you'll be in your element with this album.

The Take - Dolomite
...when they get going, The Take are fucking great, bringing to mind Jawbreaker, Samiam, Jawbox and even The Stooges and Weezer at times, but with that British feel that characterises most melodic punk bands hailing from these Isles.

The Take - Dolomite
Recalling the likes of Jawbox and Foo Fighters, it is packed with genuinely compulsive hooks, cracking melodies and fractured rhythms. The Mercy Suite - Crestfallen
The Mercy Suite - "Crestfallen", well what can you say then? 14 tracks of frenetic, melodic punk rock of the highest order that you would expect from folks who were/are in Dropnose/The Sex Maniacs and The Horror.

The Take - Dolomite
Dolomite marks a stunning return from the Cardiff foursome, whose last album was released three years ago. While time has flown for the UK's 'punk' scene and the landscape has changed considerably, for The Take it's all academic.

The Mercy Suite - Crestfallen
One of the most underated bands on the Bombed Out roster, The Mercy Suite have finally managed to capture their incredibly energetic live sound on record.

The Mercy Suite - Crestfallen
...incendary blasts of spiteful punk rock; guitars ablazing and cymbals and drums crashing. There's a fire in their collective bellies and, as they rattle through 14 songs, it's a blaze that won't be extinguished in a hurry.
